Resort 2009

After waiting more than a month to see all of Resort 2009 Collections, I was a bit disappointed.
I expected better, I guess.
Nonetheless! there were still some exciting collections to see,,





Stella McCartney: I don't consistently like her designs, but I really enjoyed her resort collection. It was young, fresh, and it didn't stray too much from the ordinary (at least of what I see in New York), but I would absolutely LOVE to wear this stuff.



Olivier Theyskens for Nina Ricci: His style is always.. rustic but new, and natural but modern. I don't know how to explain it or really put his style into words, but he does it well.


What would a season's highlights be without Alexander Wang!? As always, tomboys with the right combination of sexy, simple, and still innovative. I love his work.


Monique Lhullier: romantic pieces that were a bit too fancy for my taste, but still beautiful and exquisitely feminine with a classic and practical sense.

It seems like so long ago :(

Back...home?!

I've been gone for what seems like months now,
it was actually only 6 weeks.
Missions in Tokyo, Japan felt like an eternity ago.
But I was so attached to this place.
I felt like I belonged there,,
The students there gave us so much more love and service than we deserved or expected. The students that we witnessed to were very open and kind, and God's blessing was truly upon us. He used that time to really show me how little faith I have and that there is so much to pray for. I especially understand the importance of prayer and faith that God will do His will because we definitely can't do it on our own. A month barely had much progress, which helps me see that it is only God that change people's hearts.
But, the impact of love is strong and significant. In Jejudo, I saw so much love in just a couple of days. I was blown away by it and realized that this love did not come from humans but from God. I've learned so much that I can't type it all,,

On the other hand, I've missed a lot in the fashion world. There's been so much going on! The resort collections and couture collections,,,,ahhhh.
