11.4.08

Today is probably what will be one of the most important days of this generation.
Obama is speaking right now, and it's amazing to witness this long-awaited win.
I have to confess.. I didn't vote. I registered too late. BUT, I was unsure of who to vote for because I saw that Obama promised something better for the nation while McCain might have been more beneficial to my family. Nevertheless, I'm sure many have prayed for a leader who would not only bring the United States out of its recent turmoil and economic downfall, but also one who would lead not by his own will but by God's.

Every candidate has claimed that he or she is a Christian, but of course.. actions speak louder than words. We can only continue to pray that as Obama has been chosen he will not allow his own ambitions to blind and muddle his sight. God has chosen him as our country's leader, and we can only sit by and watch as the next 4 years unfold to the change that we have all been hoping for.

God bless America - I think that's the first time I've said that..!

On another note, an awesome do-it-yourself tee. I'm totally going to make this.. maybe..

Other news, I saw Nicholas Ghesquiere, head designer of Balenciaga, in the building where my internship is. I wasn't sure if it was him at first glance, but then I saw his assistants and heard him speaking French and instantly knew it was him!! He's very good-looking but tre thin (like my one French word, yeaah?).
I also just saw Katie Holmes with Suri on 13th and 4th as I was walking up from my apartment to go to the subway station. She's so skinny now and has shorter hair, so I initially thought she was some pretty, tall man. Turns out it was Katie Holmes, but I felt bad for her.. surrounded by all those people and video cameras when all she wants to do is have a walk with her daughter. Suri was really cute, but it's creepy how much I see Tom Cruise's features in her..
K, I'm sleeping
