Pre-fall... already
I feel bad for designers.. before you know it, they'll have like 8 seasons to design for throughout the year. Resort and pre-fall, maybe not so necessary. Whatever, doesn't mean I don't get to talk about what I liked and didn't hehehe..

I was head over heels for Zac Posen's collection, which is weird because I usually have no interest in his collections whatsoever. But I'm a sucker for anything 1940s.. and not only did this collection evoke that time period, but it also does glamor in the right way. It's not too over-the-top; it's a mixture of simplicity and complication - the right amount of both. It's probably my favorite pre-fall collection so far.

I'm not usually a fan of Burberry either.. what's with me this season? But I loved the shapes of the pants on these girls. Clearly these pants would not do the same thing for my short legs, but they look cool on 6'+ people. The suits on the models are looking Japanese manga character-ish because they're always unrealistically tall and skinny and weirdly proportioned.. a tiny tiny bit of punk/goth feeling to the classic shapes and colors of this season. I'm also loving the pattern on the dress and coat; perfect for a New York fall, or, rather, pre-fall.

Obsession

with Tim Walker, British photographer.
His pictures always tell a story, mostly fairytales. I love the way his pictures are usually saturated (is that the right word?), at least his pinks, oranges, and reds always stand out (to me). You can always count on tulles and wide-eyed, pale, doll-like heroines in his creative, nonsensical, and dream-like photographs.
I've only seen a couple of his editorials in Vogue, but I know I love all his work.
His book is definitely on my wishlist.
