I was going to put up a post about every collection that I looked at, but then some stuff came up with my computer..but praise God, it's all going to be fine. If it weren't for Applecare and an awesome friend/mentor, I would be trying to get a new Macbook.. no, scratch that, a refurbished Macbook half the price but way less than half of the storage space (try 50GB?).
And thanks to the Apple store and Tekserve who told me I would need to repair this for a friendly cost of $850-$1240. They both told me I might as well get a new laptop.. so much for technical support.
Alas, I have not the time nor the spring/summer 2009 collections saved in my fashion archive of online photos, so I came up with a new idea: magazine reviews! Seeing as I am the worst budgeter of my money, I continue to purchase new magazines every..week or so? Sometimes I have to hide them from my friends for fear of them yelling at me..hehe don't tell them.

Theme: Only my second time reading it, but I am falling in love. A magazine with a predominantly Asian/Asian-American staff and focuses on mostly Asian/Asian-American artists. This two-week's cover girl is Kazu Makino of Blonde Redhead, an alternative band.
This issue is also focusing on women, woohoo!

Someone else they're featuring is renowned Nian Fish, the creative consultant of KCD which produces major fashion shows!! It's interesting to read what she does like put the whole team of stylists, hair dressers, make-up artists, etc. together to make the fashion show what it is today. She's also a stylist and filmmaker; talk about awesome.

Oh, British Vogue. You hurt my wallet, but it's like a masochistic kind. You're better than American Vogue anyway.
Unfortunately, not much access to the contents except through the site: www.vogue.co.uk
Is it weird that I want to save all these magazines for my children?
What is cool about their site is that you can check out their cover archive and see all their covers in the past! It's so cool to see ones from the 40s and 50s. I'd chop all my hair off (which I've been diligently growing out since July) to go back to that time and the fashions.

Not really a fan of In Style..but I have it 'cause I got it free from my internship. That's one of the sweet things about working there, I get a bunch of magazines for freeee (I especially like the obscure ones that I don't see or buy too often like Fader, Antennae, CITY, etc). Plus, Meg Ryan is.. well, she's Meg Ryan. And that's about it for this month's issue. Although I was surprised to see a Yohji Yamamoto white button-down on their "Key Pieces" article.
Some more later,,
